Curb appeal, the entryway, the kitchen, and the master bedroom are all focus areas when selling your home. However, clients often ask me,“What about my closets?”
While closets aren’t a deal-breaker, they can whisper to buyers. How would you feel if you opened a closet and it was messy? It might put some doubts in your head about the condition and size of the home. Here are two things your closets tell your buyers.
- You took care of your home (or if you didn’t). If your closets are organized, it will leave a positive impression with the buyer. If you take care of your closets, you most likely take care of your entire home.
- Your home has enough storage (or not). All buyers look for storage. Although you may have outgrown yours, you can start packing up off-season clothes and free up space. If your closet has space, the rest of your home most likely does as well.
